Warner Bros. Studio Tour

Los Angeles, CA

Hello my fellow readers!

So for our 3rd year anniversary, Erik and I decided to fly down and explore the "City of Angels". Sorry guys nothing disneyland related ( I wish!). Saturday we touchdown in LAX to start our adventure at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. If your a big fan of how the movies work behind the scene, this is one step away from the touristy Universal Studios Tour. Price of admission is $65 online, pricey but worth my every penny. Every tour is tailored different to accustom to the tour group interests of movies, double raised hands for one of my favorite childhood dramas ER! (Don't forget to get your picture at the FRIENDS set!)

The Last Book Store

Los Angeles, CA

The following day we explored Little Tokyo and did some window shopping. We also made a stop at " The Last Bookstore". Instagram worthy shots but also note buy a book if your going to come in, Support local businesses!

 LA Science Center

Los Angeles, CA

On Monday we hit up some really cool museums! To be honest these museums where a step up from the museums in the Bay Area. Admission price is $16-17 for students, not bad for the 3 levels of interactive science you get. You can also purchase separate tickets for an IMAX movie, we chose to opt out of it since we we're going to have a long day exploring other places. But we really came for the Body World Pulse, the special exhibition presents real human bodies in sickness and health. You'll discover  the human body's vulnerabilities and potential, and many of the challenges the human body faces. At first I thought this is gross, but you really get an understanding of what the human body faces when other factors are added into the picture such as cancer, smoking, second- hand smokers, sex and even the development of a child within the womb. Definitely worth seeing!

LA Natural History Museum

Los Angeles, CA

To keep it short and sweet, WE CAME FOR THE DINOSAURS! I honestly wished the bay area had more museums like this. The " Los Angeles Natural Museum" is similar to the "Academy of Science" we have here in the bay, but with a wider collection. Did I mention the numerous Dinosaurs they have!

Hollywood Sign

Los Angeles, CA

The infamous Hollywood sign! One for the books but to be honest would not want to hike this again mid-afternoon. (Note if your not a fan of dry plains/ hot hikes, hike before the sunrise to get a head start before the heat hits). Unfortunately Erik and I had a late start and had a sun burn/tan as a souvenir at the end of the hike. The hike is about 4 miles long, loops around the mountain and you'll hit the sign to capture your LA worthy picture. An alternative if you don't want to hike in the scorching LA heat, there is a back entrance to the sign but good luck finding parking, due to the back entrance is through a small residential area.

Griffith Observatory

Los Angeles, CA

This was a must see on my travel bucket list, The Griffith Observatory. One of most recent all time favorite movie that came out earlier this year was LA LA LAND. If your a crazy fan like me LA has about every single spot we're they filmed this movie, public to the people. The Griffith Observatory was one of the most iconic scenes from the film. It gets even better admission is free to the public, inside you get a scope about the sun, stars, and moon phases as well as getting to see a gigantic telescope (Can have access for night viewing/ reserved ahead only) . The only downside to it is that it's such a popular destination that it attracts numerous people so get there early to get your LA LA LAND moment.

Museum Of Broken Relationships .jpg

Musem Of Broken Relationships

Los Angeles, CA

Our last stop on our LA tourist list, Museum of Broken Relationships. One of my favorite museums on our trip. I mean who doesn't love love, but love comes in all shapes and forms same goes for broken ones. This museum gives you a scope of the variety of different broken relationships from all over the world. The public donates items they no longer want and have them display them with a little backstory. What I loved about this museum that it wasn't just boyfriend/ girlfriend relationships but relationships with yourself, family or even a childhood friend that have been broken. Bring your tissues because this museum is worth checking out!

Until the adventure.

Ciao,
