Paramount studio tour

Los Angeles, CA

Hello Strangers!Wow it’s been awhile since I’ve last posted, I hope you guys didn’t miss the blog too much. Quick update about my life, since my last post I decided to take a break from the blog. Since than I’ve been traveling, balancing school and life and basically adjusting to what life has been throwing at me. One of the biggest hurdles I’ve had to deal with was once again is moving, luckily my hunt is over and I finally found a new home. So this post is long overdue but I still wanted to share some of the gems I found in la la land.

( The Cotton Candy Cart Behind me was used in the film “ The Spongebob Squarepants Movie”)

During our trip to LA back in June, Erik and I could not resist adding another studio tour to our list of experiences. I honestly feel like you get you’re money worth for this 2-hour tour. You have the option of choosing between a normal tour or a VIP tour, we opt for the normal one ( Starting rates @ $58). During this tour you’ll discover Hollywood’s first major movie studio, visiting iconic locations like the Bronson Gate, New York Street Backlot, and the Prop Warehouse. Each step of the way, you will learn how Paramount’s 105-year legacy influenced Hollywood.

Paramount Studio Tour, Los Angeles

This hands down compared to some of the other studio tours we’ve taken has to be the best. I enjoyed the smaller intimate group you get to tour with (6 people max), especially a lot of one- on- one time with you’re tour guide. I think me and Erik enjoyed this tour a lot because it wasn’t a typical “Hollywood” gimmick tour. Not saying there is not a novelty gift shop at the end of the tour. We also had a wonderful and funny tour guide who gave up all the scoop of movie magic to some of their best known films and TV Shows: “ The Godfather Trilogy, “ “ I Love Lucy TV sitcom” “ Indiana Jones” and more. Also just learning about how paramount studios became that platform that sets off “Hollywood” was super fun to learn about.

(Also a bias note the tour guide was able to answer all of my “ I Love Lucy” and “Grease” questions.)

I definitely recommend this place to anyone who just really enjoys how movies are created. This tour is worth every penny spent from their immersive prop room and studio walkthroughs to just riding in a cart as if you we’re actually part of a film set. Me and Erik plan to actually visit again and take their night tour. I honestly wanted to take home the “ Grease 2” Pink Ladies bomber jacket but the tour guide sadly would not let me leave until I took it off.

Ciao Love,

Until the next adventure.

P.S Here’s an extra shot I took of Erik sitting on the bench Tom Hank’s used in the film Forrest Gump. He apparently didn’t find a need to keep the bench and donated it to “ Paramount Studios”. I hope this convinces you guys to take this tour, I really would love you’re guys input of you’re experience if you guys plan on going.
