90's Baby

Ciao loves!

It has been a hot minute, but I am so glad to be back and bring you guys a local gem. Pop up museums have been making a statement. It’s a must do millennial thing to do these days. Being a 94’ baby I couldn’t say no to a 90’s theme interactive museum. Located In the heart of Oakland, California, you’ll go back in time through the 90’s experience museum. ( Admission: $32.00 + $8.00 Fee).

Me and the little sister ( yes, she’s the younger and taller one) took a leap into the nineties. When we arrived we transported and began the tour in a cool trivia room. The tour guide striked us with trivia questions covering 90’s movies, music, cartoons and etc. The questions we’re actually harder than what we expected. Me and my sister learned that day we we’re more of a big fan of eighties pop culture. But that did not stop me from gaining some points on the subject of boy bands.

This unique exhibit offered many instagramable backdrops that you could only find in a 90’s time capsule. From “ The Simpsons”, “Mortal Kombat”, a tribune to the famous Jack and Rose scene from “ Titanic” and more.

My honest review about this museum is that it did not exceed to what I expected it to be. Needless to say I have very little to write about. I’ve been to a few pop up museums in the past, but I did not find this museum as interactive or immersive compared to others. On top, the tour guides tried their best to keep the atmosphere fun by feeding us endless fun facts about nineties pop culture. If you just need to update your IG with a cool backdrop this is the spot. But save yourself $36.00 and you can honestly recreate a nineties inspired post from your backyard. Overall the experience was fun to just take it back to my childhood. But the execution of the experience was rather cheap.

( My favorite parts of the exhibit hands down has to be the space jam room and the bedroom full of 90’s poster. Fun Fact about me: I’m the biggest fan girl for the Backstreet Boys and TLC)
