Ciao babes!
Boy has this year just been one heck of ride for all of us! I’ll be honest this is probably the millionth time I’ve used this excuse of not being consistent with my blog. But guys give me a break! I’m only human! I’ve been having a constant battle of creating my youtube channel versus my blog. And for personal reasons (I’ll probably share with you guys later on in life) the state of where my life is at the moment is the reason for inconsistent. But that doesn’t stop me from still sharing beautiful things with you. The goal of my blog first started as a thought of a personal diary/hobby. But after realizing how creative I can expand my platform gave me a calling in inspiring young women who needed advice, lifestyle stuff , travel ideas, and more. So whether or not I continue to use my blog or create videos ciaoloveee will always exsist!
So to get this blog started I wanted to share my recent obsession during quarantine! PODCASTS! I personally love to learn new things and just grow as a person. Podcasts are a form of media that reminds me of old timey radio days. The only difference majority of old radio talk is scripted versus podcasts are a bit more freestyle. ( For the ones I listen to.) Now what I love about podcast is how expansive the topics can be! There’s so many out there true crime, history, dating advice, movie reviews. Did I mention true crime? Apart of me wanting to be a history teacher is the reason for my love of how other people’s mind’s work. ( This coming from an outgoing introvert) I love knowing what makes someone successful. The analytical approaches one takes or the impulsive risks. All to design how they became the person they are today. So my favorite topics are inspirational/ life advice podcasts. There’s something about sharing one’s personal knowledge to another is quite fascinating to me.
One. The Lavendaire by Aileen Xu
My first introduction to podcasts is from Aileen Xu. The creator of The Lavendaire lifestyle, a podcast surrounding personal growth and lifestyle design. I began listening to her podcast way before podcasts became so popular. What I always loved about her podcast was her pureness, honesty and life tips that I could apply to my own life. Not to mention her soothing and lovely voice. She is ultimately one those voices I can listen to daily. I’ve found that her podcasts are very healing and therapeutic to listen to.
My favorite episode:
I cant seem to find the title of this particular episode. But it was one of the first few episodes I’ve ever listened to. It was on the topic of overcoming mental illnesses and how the guest speaker overcame this hurdle and not let it define her life. ( Will update when I find this episode) But it was this particular episode that made me tear up at a bus stop and fall in love with Aileen podcast.
TWO: LISTEN HUNNAY BY JEANNIE MAI
“Listen Hunnay” from Jeannie Mai is currently my all time favorite podcast. Her goal to her podcast is to see what makes the world tick. Not only that but her personality just radiates through out her episodes. Her love and drive to know more is very admirable. She definitely provokes questions that really dig deep in to the mind. And is all around just an entertaining podcast host. She has definitely been an inspiring person to look up to presently. I can ultimately say a lot of her podcasts run deep and I’ve gained so much from the life advice she gives!
Favorite Episodes:
All of her episodes are my favorite I can’t choose. I feel like I’ve gained something new every time I listen to an episode. Weather that is self love, confidence, more knowledge, awareness and more.
THREE: THE MICHELLE OBAMA PODCAST
The Michelle Obama! Must I say anything more. I think we all as a nation miss the Obama’s and what they sought out for our country. As our past phenomenal first lady she continues to strive to be a role model to young women. Through her episodes she draws her audience by utterly being so real and relatable. She dives deep in conversation with loved ones, friends and colleagues- on the relationships in our lives that make us who we are.
My favorite episode - Across Generations: Michelle Obama’s and her Mentees
FOUR: JUST A TIP BY MEGAN BATOON
Lately Megan Batoon’s “just a tip” has been a podcast I love listening to when it comes to complete rawness and a good laugh. Her out of this this world puns and jokes always flows in relation to giving life advice. Because Megan Batoon is closer in my age group I find a lot of her topics very relatable to those in their late twenties. This podcast is equally about tangents as it is about tips! It’s probably the best representation of those in their late twenties or is basically a millennial.
My favorite episodes:
You aren’t lacking (w/ Amanda Suk)
Side Hustlin (w/ Aja Dang)
I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post! I surrounded this blog post dedicated to inspirational/ life advice podcast. There is something us humans can learn from one another. It’s just about opening up and having that discussion. Let me know what some of your favorite podcasts are?
