Mini Trip: Napa, CA

Ciao Babes!

We finally made it to Italy! Just kidding. That would be such a dream come true. Unfortunately our world is going through a pandemic. But that doesn’t stop this blogger from venturing out. For the month of August two amazing women in my life we’re born. My adorable momma and my younger sister. To kick off this crazy year I decided impulsively treat my momma and sister to a staycation. Don’t worry guys we didn’t jump on a plane and fly to Italy. Still in my beautiful state I decided to take them to the beautiful Napa, CA.

Our first stop was Castello di Amorosa this being my mom and sister first time in Napa I decided to take them to the most popular destination. Due to covid they prefer reservations ahead of schedule. Tour Tickets are ($55 Per Person) a little more on the pricier end but you get many picturesque moments to capture around the castle. With the tour you get a mini history tour from a guide of the castle then you will be seated outdoors to do a taste testing. ( Taste tasting samples six glasses from there listed wines) Don’t get me started on their dessert wines. I couldn’t leave without grabbing a bottle or two.

What did I say? A view am I right! Due to the covid regulations the castle had some restrictions of areas you can go to. But thanks to the kid who snuck me and my sister to the top to get the ultimate view. You the man! Although inside we were restricted to certain areas outside the castle you get to roam the vineyards and get a glimpse of the animals on the property.

Our next stop was Indian Springs Resort($$$) only about 10-15 minutes away from the castle we went to. When choosing a hotel for my mom and sister bday I wanted to choose a place that would have many things to do on site. Due to covid I didn’t want to risk being around too many people or having to travel too far. So when I found Indian Springs Resort this was ultimately the cherry on top to our trip! At the resort you can also find dining at Sam’s Social Club($$$) fine dining can be rather expensive but for what it’s worth the portions of the meals was worth the price.

Me and my sister enjoyed exploring the resort there was so many things to do. Between the adult and regular pool to the hiking trail, shuffleboard, cricket etc. a one day trip was not enough for us. The resort is so large they even provide bikes to ride around on. ( My sister learned how to ride a bike within that day) If you we’re to get bored of being at the resort a town is only a five minute walk to do any local shopping or exploring.

This ultimately has been the most expensive staycation I’ve been on. But my heart is so full with the people I got to spend it with. Remember it’s not always the destination but the people you get to create memories with. A little insight of my family my mom has worked two jobs for as long as I was in diapers. She’s known to be a workaholic and at the end of the day getting to see her take a break and laugh fills my heart! I digress! I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post! I’d love to hear from my readers how you guys are finding alternative activities during this quarantine.

Ciao,

Stay Safe always.

Love, Chrystal
