Two for One Bucket List

Ciao Loves!

Its been awhile since I last blogged, many things have happened in the last few months. Be on the lookout for a new post on " Moving in with you're boyfriend?/ and when do you know it's the right time to make big steps" in the next few weeks.

In the last month I had the opportunity to experience not "1" but "2" things off my bucket list.  Through this organization called Wanderlust Festival , you get to experience and follow a path to a healthy and inspiring life. How Wanderlust does this is by assisting you to find you're north through events, social media, and centers. When I first found this I instantly loved the idea. Through Wanderlust Festival you are offered 2 different options. You can either attend a 3-4 day retreat in most parts of the world ( Ex. Hawaii, Tahoe). The other option is the Wanderlust 108, Which are single day festivals. I leaned towards the 108 festival due to it being less costly and me being a first-timer.

My experience at the 108 San Francisco Festival is one for the books! Accompanied by little sister we set off into the day at 5 AM. ( Note: If this is you're first 5K, SLEEP IS KEY). We approached the festival consisting with multiple vendors and a stage as well as a wide open field to place you're yoga mat. I enjoyed my first 5k but I wish I was better prepared, on the bright side it was not a timed race nor a competitive one which I loved. After looping Golden Gate Park you end the race high-fiving the host at the finish line. Walking back to the stage you are introduced with a little break or to use the time to get pumped and dance along to the DJ.  As everyone finishes the race you begin 2 yoga session. One with a warm up instructor and my personal favorite Janet Stone, she literally had my thighs numb the next day. After the sessions everyone spreads out either to grab lunch or to begin their small intro to one of the activities you signed up for. Another thing that made me instantly love this was not only the yoga sessions but aerial yoga! This was one of the small activities you get to sign up for and something I've been wanting to do all my life. Although it was a small introduction to the exercise it pushed your strength abilities to the limit.

My overall experience will be unforgettable if you're new to yoga or running this festival is for you. I'm looking forward maybe to either taking a class in aerial yoga or another 5k, until the next adventure.

Love,

Chrystal
