Mini Trip: Vancouver, Canada
Bonjour my loves!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful spring break! It's my first week back to work and school and I've caught myself daydreaming about my next travel destination. Before I do something impulsive like catching a flight to Hawaii I wanted to share with you guys my experience visiting Canada! I do also want to note that during this trip I had food poisioning so I don't look the best in these photos but I was determined to enjoy my vacation. Our intention for this trip was to take a day trip to Vancouver since it was only about 3 hours away from Seattle. Since I was feeling under the weather I tried my best to see as much as I can but this post will be a bit short.
Destination: Capilano Suspension Bridge Park ( Vancouver, BC)
Our first stop on our trip and what will take up about half your day is the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park! Since this spot is on the other end of Vancouver the drive took up most of our day. You would say Capilano is the #1 tourist thing to do when you visit here. Capilano Suspension Bridge crosses to towering evergreens, cedar-scented rainforest air and Treetops Adventure, 7 suspended footbridges offering views 110 feet above the forest floor. The new Cliffwalk follows a granite precipice along Capilano River with a labyrinth-like series of narrow cantilevered bridges, stairs and platforms and only 16 anchor points in the cliff supporting the structure!
I apologize that this post is really short, tbh this was the only highlight of my trip to Canada. Price of admission: Student $33, pretty pricey but so worth it. I would honestly come here again during another season. During the holidays they have a special light show worth checking out. The weather during March was actually pretty warm for Canada ( My assumptions that it is cold and snowing year round) but since your doing a lot of climbing up stair and walking around bridges it helps get the blood pumping rather Seattle three layers of clothing wasn't enough for your girl.
My overall experience visiting Canada left me with mixed feelings, Vancouver is such beautiful city with such a urban feel that visting Capliano bridge with its beautiful evergreens makes me wonder what the rest of Canada may look like. I honestly would love to give Canada a second chance especially when I'm feeling ill.
P.S I was determined to live the Vancouver experience so I still tried eating the best Dumplings that Vancouver known for. I don't regret it one bit even though it ended up coming out of me 3 hours later.
Until the next adventure.
Ciao,
