Hello 2018!

Wow another year has gone by and I can't believe it, where did the time go? The last time I posted was back in November, and I purposely took the month of December to take a mental health break not only because of finals. But to also figure out what direction I want to go with Ciao Love in the upcoming year, that means brainstorming some awesome content for my readers in 2018!  Ciao Love is only a few months away from it's 1 year anniversary, and I can't wait for all the awesome adventures this new year. But besides that I wanted to share with you guys a couple resolutions, goals, whatever you may call it but simple ways I prepare for the new year!

Setting Goals

San Francisco, CA

This year I wanted to set the year off strong, and that means creating small goals and big goals for myself. In the past I used pre-made planners that either became difficult to keep up or was only written in them a couple times. A commitment I made this year is using a Bullet Journal, creating a planner fit to your events and appointments in a creative space. It can mean checking things off your list can support a balanced pace rather a chore for yourself.

2.Love Yourself

San Francisco, CA

This one for my peeps who pull all nighters and work 40 hours a week! Setting a goal to love yourself a little more this year is beneficial for anyone. Find something that brings bliss into your life or that can benefit your health. For me I love to keep a busy schedule and I sometimes forget to take care of my body. I recently learned that the hard way and totally burnt myself out this past December. But setting time aside for yourself can be rewarding in many ways. I personally set time out of my week between reading a book, working out, doing yoga, or having a at home spa day.

3. Declutter

San Francisco, CA

One of the biggest goals I created for myself this year is having less, for some you guys that might be a little extreme to even think about. Starting small can help create a clear space for yourself mentally and physically. I recently read into the book " The life changing manga of tidying up", a simple read help me realize how much clutter I've consumed over the years whether be emails, clothes, book or that junk mail that lies on your desk I realized I collected many items I no longer needed in my life. I started with deleting items in my inbox. From there I decided to conquer my mountain of clothes to 3 different places:

1. Sell clothes to local thrift stores * most thrift store pay a decent price for clothing but may not accept everything.

2. @ Thred Up is a online and in store thrift store that can send you a FREE Closet Kit Bags, you can either sell or donate clothes. * Thred UP became my second choice of sending clothes due to deduction in pricing of items.

3. DONATE! Donate your clothes to a local goodwill or charity!

Remember to start small or you'll find it difficult to achieve this goal in 2018.

4. Gratitude

Lastly embrace life, show gratitude by living your life to the fullest everyday and if you can't tomorrow is another day.

Until the next adventure

Ciao,
