Museum Of Ice Cream SF
Bonjour!
Better late than never, but I'm finally able to share with you guys my experience at the Museum of Ice Cream, San Francisco. Museum of Ice Cream SF made its grand opening this past year after the booming love from the LA location. If you haven't heard about this museum than you've been living under a rock. Not only did it take a course of 2-3 months to snag tickets but price of admission has to be the most I've spent for a museum. ( $38)
If you followed along to their instagram page, @museumoficecream you can get a sneak at some of the rooms they feature in the museum as well as the vibrant staff they have. We we're welcomed with a few ice breakers to work in a team with a group of people. Coincidently me and some friends became the last group of the night which gave us plenty of time to explore each room. The building they used for the Museum of Ice Cream is an old bank, so your able to see the many transformations they create for each room. One of the first rooms we entered and one of my favorites has to be the 50's inspired/ jukebox room!
Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice! Boy half way into the museum you'll definitely get a sugar rush with the wonderful sweet treats they provide. Not only did they provide ice cream samples, but as well as cotton candy, mochi and pop rocks!
Besides being one step closer to being diabetic, each room has it's own individual design that offers a worthy photo op. There are so many crazy beautiful details to this museum it was a bit difficult to soak it all in. Although me and my friends we're the last group of the night some parts of the room we still we're timed and did not get the full experience. But the next two rooms has to be mine and everyone's favorite the sprinkle and swing rooms.
(* Sprinkles are not real please don't eat them)
So is this museum worth the whopping $38 bucks? unfortunately I don't think so I was bit disappointed for the price especially since the LA location was a bit of a lower rate. Don't get me wrong if you like all things pink and cute and taking a bazillion photos then this museum is for you. My final decision is based off of the worth of wait and struggle to grab tickets created higher expectations when seeing it in person. Unfortunately this post had to be short and sweet due to the crazy little details they had in each room that it was hard for me to soak it all in. But if you guys want the full on experience buy those tickets! Museum of Ice Cream will continue their SF location until February 2018!
Until the next adventure.
Ciao,
Chrystal
